Paul Salter:

It’s 12 months from now. You’ve just arrived at a beautiful, tropical resort with your significant other and your eight closest friends. The entire 10 day vacation is going to include multiple opportunities to wine and dine, enjoy cocktails on the beach, fancy restaurants. And again, you heard the word, “Beach,” which implies bathing suit. How do you wish to feel in that moment on that trip? What are you no longer worried about that you’d be worried about if that trip were tomorrow?

If you feel like you know exactly what to do to lose the weight and keep it off, but are struggling to do so, you’re in the right place. Welcome to the 5% Way Podcast, where myself, registered dietician Paul Salter and my cohost, sustainable weight loss specialist, Michaela Barsotti, have an impactful conversation focused on helping you uncover the root cause of the self-sabotaging behaviors holding you back from achieving sustainable weight loss. Your transformation begins from the inside out. And our purpose is to accelerate that progress by sharing practical strategies and need-to-know information to help you reclaim your confidence, control and inner-calm, so that you can feel, look and be your best.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another episode of the 5% Way Podcast. My name is Paul Salter, I’m a registered dietician, your host, your guide during today’s incredibly action-packed episode that is going to help you bring the upmost clarity to the woman you will be 12 months from now. And this is going to include a behind-the-scenes episode of me going through an incredibly impactful episode or coaching call, excuse me, live within the 5% community on one of our weekly 5% Fire Calls. So you’ll hear me cut over to that exercise, here, in just a minute or two. I went ahead and cut out all of our wonderful initial conversations, so that we can dive right into the exercise itself.

And I will tell you this episode is best consumed when you have an opportunity to sit down, have a pen and paper, something to write with, so that you can literally go through the exercise in real time because you’ll hear me say that I actually set a timer for one, two, or three minutes, after I ask each specific prompt. And not only does that give you an opportunity to thoroughly think about the prompt or question I have posed, during that live call I actually went through the exact same exercise as well, so you’re going to hear a series of questions or prompts shared with you, followed by two to three minutes of silence. You’ll hear me announce, “The timer has gone off.” And then we’re going rapid fire right into one prompt question after the next. And then I went ahead and included some of our back-and-forth discussion at the end of this call for you here at the end of this episode.

So if you can’t write or do anything right now to take down your notes and thoughts, it’s still, of course, a valuable episode, it’s going to really fuel some wonderful thinking. But if you’re unable to write anything down during your first pass through this episode, I can’t recommend enough that you go back and listen again. Now, last thing I will share is just, again, a quick reminder that the turn of the new year, January 2023, the 5% Way Podcast is going back to its roots, coming back better than ever, as Screw the Scale Radio. And we have a wonderful lineup of guests ready, we’ve got a new take, new style, just a fresh energy and vibe coming into the show that will officially kickoff here in the new year. I’m so excited for you to be a part of it, so excited to connect with you further, server you on a deeper level, and really just sit back and witness all of the great things you’re going to accomplish in the new year. On that note, let’s get into today’s show.

Good stuff. So many wins to celebrate this week, this is fantastic. So happy to have y’all here. And we are going to dive deep today, really thinking, really dreaming, into the future and getting incredibly clear on the night of November 16th, 2023. It’s a Tuesday evening this time of year in 365 days. And we are going to go through a series of prompts, in which I’m going to go along right with you. I’ve got my journal right here, as well. I’m going to set a timer and we’re going to go through a series of questions to help you really gain clarity on multiple aspects as to how your life is different, how you want to feel, what your routines, your family dynamics, your environment looks like, as you continue to make headway stepping into that next best version of yourself.

So we’ve got a lot of really good prompts this evening, each prompt, I’m going to set the timer for either two or three minutes. And there is an intention as to why one is two or one is three minutes, but I would just want to kind of practice this with the fact that you’re not going to have some crystal clear answer. The purpose here is to put your phone away, to mitigate all distractions as best you can. And just simply download, or word vomit, if you will, what thoughts immediately come to mind. And then after tonight’s call, whether that’s tomorrow morning or preferably some time in the next 48 hours, I encourage you to go revisit your answer to further add detail, make additions, flush out a crystal clear answer for all of the prompts that I share. And of course, what I’ll do is, I’ll have copy and pasted them into the Coaching Call Channel Recap, so you have them at your disposal every step of the way.

But before I do that, just a few reminders on the idea and concept of change or transformation. And if you haven’t caught on yet, one of the most powerful life-altering quotes that still reigns supreme to me and I try to not only read it and write it every day, but share it as often as I possibly can is, “You can’t change, unless you change.” And the focus tonight is really about big-picture change. How is the woman that is going to show up on Tuesday, November 16th, 2023? You’re going to be able to quickly identify some of the big-picture, the external changes, and maybe some top-of-mind internal changes that you wish to have taken place in these next 12 months. But those changes are not possible if you don’t change in the micro-moments, in the self-talks, the beliefs, the stories you’re telling yourself, how you navigate conflict, stress, pressure-filled situations, whatever it may be.

And if you feel, as you’re going through these series of prompts, that you want to make some radical changes in your life, we need to remember that radical change, in fact, requires radical change. And you have all that you need right now in here, in here, and in the community as a whole, in one another, of course, in myself and Kelly, as well, to make every single change that you desire. You deserve every single change that you desire. But I’ll be very candid that the changes you aspire to make are going to push you outside of your comfort zone.

And spending time outside of your comfort zone, of course, is where the magic, the results and the progress happen, but it’s also probably where the most messy, chaotic, and crazy of the emotions happen, by gaining a lot of clarity on how you wish to feel and the woman you want to be in 12 months. The more clarity you can provide, the more of a stronger backbone you’re going to have to fall back on when you face both the expected and the unexpected challenges in your way to leveling up, so we definitely want to keep that in mind.

And then, of course, maybe my second or tied for first most favorite quote as of late, as well, is, “If you want what the 5% of people have, you must be willing to do what the 95% are not.” And we’ll use that as our runway into this evening. So the way that we are going to do this is, I’m going to share the prompt with you, set the timer, and then I’m going to go right into the next prompt. What were going to do is, save our discussions for the end, but we’re going to really spend the next 15 to 20 minutes, here, going deep within ourselves, getting as much out on paper as we can, maybe texting to your notes app, depending where you are.

If you’re driving, you just think about this. If you’re walking, you’re exercising, whatever it is, just get your brain moving and chewing on these thoughts. But one of the biggest mistakes that so many of us make when it comes to thinking about that ideal futuristic dream state is, we often do so from an emotional state that is rooted in lack, and scarcity, and fear, and desperation, and hopelessness. So to avoid that, we’re going to take two quick priming steps to get us in a better emotional and mental state, to be more receptive and open to the abundance of the universe, whatever you believe in, to help guide you in gaining the clarity and the downloads you need to answer these questions to the best of your ability.

So the first thing that we will do, and I’ll invite you to close your eyes, keep your camera on or off, whatever you’re comfortable with, we’re just going to go through a couple rounds of box breathing to really just relax at our core, turn up the volume on our parasympathetic nervous system, which is our rest and digest, really at peace, part of our nervous system and turn down the volume of our sympathetic nervous system, which is that fight response, that really wants to… Makes us go crazy and really taps into our emotional brain and blocks out the rational thinking.

So what the box breathing method looks like, in case you’re not familiar, is an inhale, specifically through your nose for a count of four seconds, a four second hold, followed by and exhale through your nose for a one, two, three, four, hold for four seconds. And that completes your box. And then we just repeat. So I will guide you, go ahead and get comfortable. If you want to lie down, if you want to recline, sit, whatever you need to do to feel comfortable.

I’m going to count us down, three, two, one. And we’ll begin with that inhale through the nose, so three, two, one. And two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, exhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, inhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, exhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, inhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, exhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, inhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four, exhale. Two, three, four, hold. Two, three, four. And go ahead and resume your normal breathing, as needed.

And if you have something to write with or a note taking app ready, go ahead and ready yourself, but I want you to just take 30 seconds right now to dive into listing three things you are grateful for. It can be about yourself, about your family, your work, your day, your pets, your coffee. And go. And the next thing I want you to write down is the name of the one person you love, followed by a quick reason as to why. And the last priming action step is listing one thing that you love about yourself.

All right. So now we are in a great, open, expansive, abundant emotional state and mindset. And we’re going to transition into a specific scenario to set the tone for Tuesday, November 16th, 2023. And I’m giving you two different scenarios to choose from. Simply being, we all have different goals related to, some of our goals are very self-talk limiting belief space, some are relationship with food based, some are relationship with ourselves, some are confidence in our physique, so I want to make sure I can cater to as many as possible. We are going to have me read out these two scenarios and I’ll repeat them as necessary. You’re going to choose one, you don’t have to say it out loud, just to use at the context to answer the next two questions.

So Scenario A, or 1, is, “It’s Tuesday, November 16th, 2023 and you have just arrived at your dream tropical vacation resort.” Scenario Number 2, again, “Tuesday, November 16th, 2023, you’ve just arrived at the best restaurant in town, dressed in your best outfit, surrounded by immediate family and the eight people you love most.” So again, you’ve just arrived at your favorite dream vacation or the best restaurant in town with those you love most.

Choose one on your own and that’s going to lead into these two questions. And the questions are, we have three minutes to answer these, Number One, and I’ll put these in the chat, “How do you wish to feel stepping into that resort?” or, “Stepping into that restaurant?” Question Two, “What are you no longer worried about that you’d be worried about right now?” So I just dropped them in the chat. You’re a visual person, timer starts now, take your time

You got another 60 seconds. Again, How do you wish to feel? What are you no longer worried about that you might be worried about right now, should you be in that situation? Got 15 seconds, so just wrap up that last thought. Again, you’ll get to revisit this in the next 24 to 48 hours. All right.

Going into our next prompt. And again, I’ll post all of these in the chat and, of course, after in the recap. On the next question or prompt we’ll have two minutes for this one, “I’ve accomplished a lot in the past year, but the three things I am most proud of include…” what? And begin. 30 seconds. Go ahead and wrap that thought up because we’re going to rapid fire into the next prompt.

So the next one, 2 minutes again, “The three primary ways I regularly practice self-care include…” And begin. How are you practicing self-care regularly a year from now? 30 seconds.

All right. On to the next one, “November 16th, 2023, the three things I love most about myself include…” 30 seconds. Okay. Finish up that thought.

We’re going to head into the next one. And again, “It’s that November 16th, 2023 and you have the opportunity to send one simple message to send to present day you,” Betsy of the future gets to send one message to Betsy of today. “What is the message that you wish you could share to your present day self?” 30 seconds on this one. What’s that message future you has to give to you tonight?

All right. Moving on to the next question. We’ve got a few more. “The three challenges I constantly battled last year that I no longer battle because I’ve conquered them include…” what? What challenges have you conquered in this next year? It doesn’t have to be all nutrition related. Any area of your life, three challenges that you battled in the last year, that you no longer battle because you conquered them? 30 seconds, a little less.

Okay. This next prompt is on 60 seconds. I want to really just be honest and clear and get out whatever comes top of mind first, once you hear me ask the question. And that question is, “The three areas of my life I ask for help with include…” blank. What are you asking for help with in the next year? You got 15 seconds. Where are you asking for help? Where do you need help? Let your ego down, surrender, where do you need the help?

All right. Moving on to the next one. These two are 90 seconds. And the first one is… Let me just get my timer set. Again, “Tuesday, November 16th, 2023, how do you spend the first 20 minutes of every morning?” Go. Oops. Sorry, Tonya. I totally forgot. Of course. All right. Finish your final thoughts on that new you morning routine.

And we are going to go into the next question. Again, “November 16th, you just had a wonderful dinner party, or you just had a great day on the beach, how are you spending the last 20 minutes of every day?” How are you spending the last 20 minutes of every day? 15 seconds.

Okay. We’ve got two more questions and we are finished, this portion of the call. That next question we’ll have two minutes for, so whether you’re at the dinner party surrounded by your primary loved ones or you’re at that beach dream vacation resort, let’s for a moment, if you chose that option, pretend you’re surrounded by the 10 people you love the most, as well. And off those 10 people, what adjectives or short phrases would those you care about the most use to describe you? So, “Those closest in my life would use the following adjectives or short phrases to describe me.” And I’m going to challenge you to list at least three. 20 seconds.

And the last question, I’m only going to allocate 60 second, I want you just to vomit what comes to mind. “The biggest difference in who I am today, versus who I was exactly a year ago, is…” what? “The biggest difference in who I am today, versus who I was on this day last year is…” what? Five seconds, just to wrap that thought.

All right. So before we do a little bit of sharing because I would love to hear just the impact and some of thoughts that were crystallized and what came to mind, just a couple of reminders, based on what I wrote down for that last question in particular that I wanted to share with you. I mean, I guess I’m in a quote sharing mood tonight, but another one of my favorite quotes that I think perfectly applies to what we just did is the following, “Life is not about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself.”

I’m echoing or piggybacking off of what I shared to kick this portion of our call off, but you’re fully in charge. You deserve all that you desire, but you can’t just wander aimlessly, hoping that one day you find that happiness and improve relationship with food, that level of confidence, energy, strength, whatever it may be. You have to go create it. And imperfect action is always greater than perfect in action. Just start, take the fucking step in the right direction and trust yourself that you will figure it out as you go because you have a wonderfully supportive community and coach cheering you on and supporting you every step of the way, but just freaking start and go create that life you desire. Go create that woman that you just spent the last 30 minutes or so truly creating on paper, go bring her to fruition in real life. You have to take full ownership of this and you just got to start, while also having a resounding, unmatchable belief in yourself, which we are also here to support you through.

But with that said, I would love to know… Amy, I’m going to start with you because you are just top left on my screen. And I’m just going to go around asking some questions, in no particular order, going on my screen, so I make sure I hit on everybody. But, Amy, what is the biggest difference in who you are today, versus who you were last year, if I’m talking in the future?

Amy:

I’m consistent, I show up for myself and do what I say I’m going to do. And I’m confident wearing whatever I want, whenever I want, all the time.

Paul Salter:

I love it. Clear, specific, powerful. Awesome. How’d you find this exercise or series of exercises?

Amy:

Oh. It was awesome. I obviously picked the Scenario A, with the tropical resort thing.

Paul Salter:

Okay. Yep.

Amy:

And I went with that. But yeah, it was awesome. I loved it.

Paul Salter:

Good. Very good to hear. Thank you for sharing. Denise, you are next in line on my end. What is the message that 2023 Denise wishes she could share with today’s Denise?

Denise:

Hmm? Just to stick to your plan that you’re going to be happier today. Then, you’re going to be exactly where you wanted to be a year ago.

Paul Salter:

Mm-hmm.

Denise:

That it’s… You’re doing the right thing. You know? That the day’s going to be hard, but don’t give up and try to remember the… Keep in mind your focus and what you’re doing, as opposed to quitting and starting, quitting and starting, and just sticking with it. And basically not giving up.

Paul Salter:

Yeah. But I’m also hearing just self-trust, like trust yourself, like you know what to do, you’ve got… You’ve invested in yourself for the coaching, the accountability, the community, trust that. And you keep that and you build more and more trust by taking the leap of faith to follow through one tiny action step at a time, so that’s exciting.

Denise:

Yeah. And one of the biggest thing, I just realized when I looked at my notes, is I said to myself that, “Your worth it,” which is one of those things you have to keep in mind.

Paul Salter:

Absolutely. Well, thank you for sharing that. Tonya, you ready for me? Coming your way next. And I would love to hear your answers to, “I’ve accomplished a lot this year, but the three things I am most proud of include…”

Tonya:

Oh gosh. I have literally four pages of notes, so…

Paul Salter:

You and me both.

Tonya:

Where is that?

Paul Salter:

That is the first question after the scenarios.

Tonya:

Oh yeah. Yeah. Most proud of is my resilience, my consistency, and overcoming my fear of being alone and lonely.

Paul Salter:

Hmm? That’s powerful. I appreciate you sharing that. I’m excited for you.

Tonya:

Thank you. And just as a side note, I chose B-

Paul Salter:

Okay.

Tonya:

… because I thought… No. Restaurant doesn’t mean much to me, but I thought A was alone, for the resort, so I chose B, when you said with the eight people. But then when you said later that the resort has 10 people, so I moved mid-exercise, I moved to the resort from the restaurant.

Paul Salter:

Good flexible pivot there. I just made a note to clarify that, so thank you for bring that to my attention. Awesome. Thank you for sharing, Tonya. Betsy, “The three ways that you will regularly practice self-care include…” what? I know, I’m going all out of order, all over the place. I’m just, whatever my heart tells me is what I’m asking.

Betsy:

Working out, eating healthy and drinking water, and walking outside.

Paul Salter:

Awesome. So I’m going to just push you one step further, there. Get a little more clear on what eating healthy is. How often are you working out? How much fluid are you drinking? How often are you walking? Remember, and I know you only had a short amount of timeframe.

Betsy:

Yeah.

Paul Salter:

I’m just, I’m thinking in the future. Get really clear, that specificity-

Betsy:

Okay.

Paul Salter:

… will serve you well.

Betsy:

So I think daily walking outside is important. I think the fresh air for me is good. I have a dog, so it’s easy, but I just really… That’s my quiet time, too, if I listen to a podcast or I just am with on my own.

Paul Salter:

Yep.

Betsy:

Working out, I mean, I’m thinking gym wise, I’m thinking four days gym. Although, I consider walking working out and so I probably do something every day, but I think, to me, lifting weights, four times a week is a good number and I’ve been hitting it.

Paul Salter:

Perfect.

Betsy:

You’ve told me, “Less is more.” I would love to say seven or six, where I used to be, but I just don’t know that’s the best way to use my time.

Paul Salter:

Perfect.

Betsy:

And then, eating healthy, I think that’s every day. And drinking water like that, I think is what I have not been doing this week, drinking water. I’m getting this… But I think I’m hungry because I’m not drinking. I drink coffee like it’s going out of style. But to me I think healthy also means you can have pizza or something. To me it’s not an all in or… And maybe that’s a better clarification, it’s not a, “I’m dieting,” or, “I am binging,” like eating like an asshole.

Paul Salter:

Yeah. Maybe something, too, to chew on is… And this just an example, I’m not putting words in your mouth, “I choose foods that make me feel good every day.” And you could take that one of two ways, emotionally or physically.

Betsy:

Yeah.

Paul Salter:

But good stuff, Betsy.

Betsy:

Okay.

Paul Salter:

Thank you for sharing.

Betsy:

Thanks.

Paul Salter:

Yeah.

Betsy:

Thanks for pushing me.

Paul Salter:

Of course. Allison, “The message that 2023 you wishes she could share with present day you is…” what?

Allison:

I said, “You’re on the right path, keep going. You’re building a foundation for the rest of your life. This journey matters. Don’t stop keeping your promises and commitments to yourself, they matter and you matter.”

Paul Salter:

Damn. Can you text me that every day for the next 30 years. That was good. Awesome. Yeah. I like that. Powerful. Thank you for sharing. Maria, you are up next. And I would love to know from you… Hmm? I really like that last question, but I don’t want to be redundant. So give me one of the challenges that you constantly battle in the 12 months leading up to next year that you no longer battle because you’ve conquered it.

Maria:

One of them was emotional eating and feeling out of control about food.

Paul Salter:

Lovely. Very, very good.

Maria:

Thank you.

Paul Salter:

And for you extra next step nudge, when you go back and revisit this is, gain clarity. And maybe it’s going back to Scenario B, how do you want to feel during some of those big social occasions or maybe just feel during those moments of vulnerability, whether it’s the late night snacking for you or some other type of day. How do you want to feel having conquered that challenge? That way you start to already envision those feeling of confidence, control, and power.

Maria:

Okay.

Paul Salter:

And thank you for sharing. That was great.

Maria:

Thank you.

Paul Salter:

Yeah. Lisa. Oh man, Lisa, I have so many questions. And you guys are entering a new, exciting chapter of your life next year, so I want to know what is the biggest difference in who you are on November 16th, 2023, versus who you are today?

Lisa:

I have a two-part. I mean, the first part was that I’m down, and I used 50 pounds, but I don’t really care what that number is, but I’m down to where I feel confident and that I’d be confident in how I look and act.

Paul Salter:

Love it.

Lisa:

And that actually prompted me to think of something else, to summarize things in my head, but I’ve used work as an excuse. And now I’m not going to have that excuse to blame for not becoming who I want to be or how I look.

Paul Salter:

Fuck yes. That’s so powerful, that awareness. You’re just breaking through barriers this last month. I love this.

Lisa:

It’s happening.

Paul Salter:

It’s happening. This is really good. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Lisa:

5% Live was good for me.

Paul Salter:

Yes it was. It was good for me too. Very good. Well, thank you for sharing that. All right. I am coming to Janna next. And, Janna, I would love to know what are the three areas of your life that you have asked for help with?

Janna:

How did I know you were going to ask me that one? Intuition. I mentioned career because I think I’ve journaled a little bit. I’m working toward a promotion and I never ever would’ve done that, previous to meeting Paul and you guys, so thank you. Two would be my marriage. Like anything else in a relationship, it’s up and down and sideways and crazy, so I’d ask help for some mentors that have been married a really long time. And then, three, I would also ask for help, Lord, be with me, being a teenage girl mom because I have my girls entering these teenage years and it’s crazy how they go from snugly, warm, fuzzy, to overnight not hugging you, and just being snippy, and hormonal. And it’s like, “What happened to my little girl?” So I hear they come back, but it’s navigating those three things that I wrote down.

Paul Salter:

Beautiful. I appreciate you sharing that. And I’ll share with you, too, I too can’t find where I journaled what, Tonya, with all my pages. Oh. But the one thing I wrote, too, Janna, that we had in common is, “Seeking help and mentorship in the relationship department,” too. Really just learning to fully step into… For me, it’s like, love is a verb, a conscious daily choice every single day. So yeah, we definitely share that. And I also, just I’ll share a little bit more of mine throughout too. Asking for help writing this damn book that has been eluding me for way too long now. I have the biggest imposter syndrome in the world. I just need to get it done. But yeah, great stuff. Thank you for sharing.

Janna:

Yeah. Thanks, you guys.

Paul Salter:

Angela, are you able to speak?

Angela:

Yes I am.

Paul Salter:

Wonderful. So I would love to hear from you, “What’s the message from 2023 you has for the present day you?”

Angela:

My message is that I no longer want to spend time wishing or wanting for the life that I want. I want to take the steps needed to actually achieve that.

Paul Salter:

Yeah. No more wishing or hoping to run into, to find, you’re going to create it in taking action. I love that.

Angela:

Absolutely.

Paul Salter:

And just want to reiterate, again, imperfect action always trumps perfect inaction, so go take that messy first step because you learn so much and you’ll be met with so much support, love, coaching, accountability, that you’ll find the best next step and we just build off of that.

Angela:

That’s definitely what I’ve found in the last two weeks, for sure.

Paul Salter:

Good. Very good. There’s an Office quote that’s very appropriate here about a carpenter who keeps building stairs, but I’m going to butcher it, I can’t remember, but it’s on my Office-themed coffee mug somewhere.

Angela:

I love The Office.

Paul Salter:

You and me both. Awesome. Well, thank you for sharing, Angela.

Angela:

Yes.

Paul Salter:

Let’s see? Carrie and then Tracy. So, Carrie, are you able to speak? Tracy, what about you? I know you two both might be driving, shuttling kids around. Okay. Well, with that said, let me share a little bit more of mine. Tonya, where’d you go? Tonya, I’ll give you the role. You can ask me a question. What answer do you want to hear from me? You can pick the question. You can refer to the chat if you’d like.

Tonya:

“Three challenges I constantly battled last year that I no longer battle because I’ve conquered them include…”

Paul Salter:

The conquered challenges one? I wrote, “Writing my book’s first draft and overcoming procrastination.” And specifically, “I am worthy and I don’t need to succumb to imposter syndrome.” I wrote, “I’ve conquered the challenge of finding peace and fulfillment in solitude, silence, and stress. And I have conquered detachment from money being tied to my self-worth.”

Tonya:

Wow. That’s great. Can I ask one more?

Paul Salter:

You can. Go ahead.

Tonya:

“Those closest in my life would use the following adjectives or short phrases to describe me.” List at least three.

Paul Salter:

“Present as fuck. Laid back.” And then I wrote, “Open-minded, empathetic, and compassionate.” Let’s see if I have anything else worth sharing. My message to myself from 2023 to 2022 I wrote, “Slow down and be, just fucking be. Find happiness in a blissful quietude of nothingness. Follow your heart and surrender to the universe.” And let’s see here? Well, I’ve wrote down the word, “Present,” a lot, just really continuing to be present. So, yeah. Cool. I hope that you ladies found this all incredibly helpful.

And again, there was a condensed window of time, intentionally, just to keep things moving and give you a lot to think about. And you are going to get so much more from these prompts and this experience, revisiting them. So I’ll have the questions copy and pasted into our Coaching Call Channel, here, by the end of the evening. I encourage you to copy/paste them somewhere where you can see them, refer to them, have the open so you can journal.

And what I would recommend you do is set a timer for two to five minutes per question, I’ll let you be the one who determines that, and go through this similar process. But now give yourself a little bit more time and go through it a little bit more slowly, but you already have such as strong base, having gone through it once. This is just polishing, making editions, revisions, etc. And then you might do it a third time, just to really clarify and begin to crystallize, “Who is that woman Tuesday, November 16th, 2023?” Because with that clarity gives us an opportunity to reverse engineer the most effective action steps to bring the wishing and wanting into the daily breathing, into fruition as to who you are 364.5 days from now.

Any questions on what we chatted about tonight, or just in general, while we have each other? Alrighty. Well, I applaud you for making yourselves a priority this Wednesday evening. Kudos to you. Great work on this coaching call. You can tell I’m in Podcast mode. A lot of podcast stuff today. Well, great work. And I just applaud all of you for being courageous enough to share and for pushing yourself to go deep and to really get sometimes clarity. I look forward to hearing and seeing how well it serves you and I’ll see you in the community, so have a great rest of your night.

And that is a wrap, a wrap on today’s episode, a wrap on the wonderful year of the 5% Way Podcast. A wrap on 2022 for the show. And an exciting step into the future, kicking things off with Screw the Scale Radio making it’s coveted return, here, as we begin the new month and new year, just a week from today. But thank you so much for listening to today’s episode.

I genuinely hope you took the time to go through the prompts I shared. This might be what inevitably was the most impactful live coaching call we have had to date because of the thought that was required to bring the upmost crystal-clear clarity to the mind of all of our members about what that future self looks like. Which, as I mentioned, it gives us the opportunity to specifically reverse engineer the action steps necessary to bring that reality to fruition.

And if you enjoyed this show, please, do me a favor, do someone else a favor, share it with a loved one, friend, family member, who would find this information, this exercise in particular, valuable. And if you haven’t done so already, 30 seconds to leave a genuine rating and review on Apple Podcast or wherever you listen to the show would be greatly appreciated.

And lastly, what are you waiting for? If you’re looking for a community of like-minded, bad-ass women who share in your diet history, diet hopping struggles, your body image or relationship with food challenges, but are committed to improving, getting 1% better every day. You’re seeking the coaching, relatability, accountability, community, and education for a lifetime to truly feel, look, and be your best, then look no further than the 5% Community. I invite you to learn more, clicking the link in the show notes below or simply reach out to me on Instagram, Paul Salter Coaching, sending me a DM with the message 5% is all it takes to get started to learn more. Well, thank you, again, for listening. Have a wonderful rest of your day, your year. And I’ll see on Screw the Scale Radio in the next episode.
